SHELLEY BEACH - FRI 11TH DEC 2020

One of the tips I give people taking photo’s, is to always look behind you. You can be so focused on what you are wanting to see in the lens in front of you, that sometimes we miss the magic that can happen behind us.

The Zig Zag Jetty on Shelley Beach is one of those places that just doesn’t get the right angle for the sun in the beauty of a sunrise or sunset. So, it’s one of those moments that you are ‘looking behind you’, to hope for some magic in the sky.

With not a cloud in the sky, I think I was very lucky with these results tonight, as I was chasing the changing colours, from the many different angles, up and down the steps, and along the beach through susnet and into blue hour…

London Bridge (Portsea)- WED 9TH DEC 2020

Long daylight hours gives me plenty of time to travel a little further a lot later.

I arrived, and as I stepped onto the beach, the sun was a magnificent backdrop to the waves, with a golden reflection in the sky.

It was so beautiful in fact, that I almost didn’t make it to capture what I actually went to photograph… London Bridge (Portsea)
